Exchange® Mailbox Lifecycle Plugin

The tenfold Exchange Mailbox Lifecycle plugin is used for managing user mailboxes. When a new user is created, generating a new mailbox for that user is one of the routine tasks involved. However, if you want to manage and adjust these mailboxes, you need an additional portal: the Exchange management console or a PowerShell-script.

What Are the Benefits?

tenfold automates the administrative tasks involved in the Exchange mailbox management process. When a new member enters the company, tenfold automatically generates a new mailbox for them. If this person switches to a different location within the company, tenfold automatically moves the mailbox to the new appropriate mailbox database. If the person leaves the company, tenfold archives their mailbox and deletes it, if required.

In addition to pure on-premise installations of Microsoft Exchange®, the tenfold Mailbox Lifecycle Plugin now supports hybrid Exchange Online environments in Office 365. Tip: If you are interested in using tenfold in conjunction with Office 365, check out the tenfold Office 365® User Lifecylce Plugin.

For each time someone joins or leaves the company, the tenfold Exchange Mailbox Lifecycle Plugin reduces the amount of administrative actions by one. It saves valuable time and reduces the source of errors.

Note: To find out what possibilities tenfold provides for managing Exchange mailbox and folder permissions, please view the “tenfold Permission Management for Exchange“ data sheet.
