What Does the Matrix42 Empirum Plugin Do?
Matrix42 Empirum is a popular software and patch management solution that allows admins to remotely install programs and updates on end users’ devices, making it easier to equip new users with everything they need, perform ongoing maintenance or roll out new software across large teams.
Our Matrix42 plugin incorporates the software management solution into tenfold‘s central, automatic user and permission management. This makes it possible to automatically install software on a user’s device when they receive new permissions or software licenses. This applies both to default permissions assigned through tenfold‘s user lifecycle management and software requested directly through tenfold‘s self-service portal.
Software installed through Matrix42 is also included in tenfold‘s central reporting, allowing admins to review a user’s apps and permissions in one place.
The Matrix42 Software Development Kit must be installed.
Empirum API services must be active and connected through an HTTPS connection with a valid certificate. Learn how to set up an HTTPS connection in the official Matrix42 documentation.
Remotely install or remove software by adding or removing devices from assignment groups.

Automatically sync group assignments to show installed software in tenfold even if changes were made directly in Matrix42.
