Licensing and Pricing

Customers can purchase a perpetual software license, with the option of adding on a maintenance contract to receive regular updates and hotfixes. The cost of the license depends on the selected edition and the number of users that will be managed by the system (not including system accounts and other functional accounts).

The number of active users managed by the system. This does not include deactivated and deleted accounts, system accounts or functional users. Licensing is not affected by the interfaces used, nor by the server or database configurations or operating system.

Wrong! As part of our ‘Academic Licensing Program’, we are able to offer special tenfold licensing conditions to academic institutions (schools, universities) and charitable organizations. Please contact our sales team for further information at sales@tenfold-security.com.

There are currently three editions of tenfold available: The Essentials Edition, which focuses exclusively on managing file servers and the Active Directory. This edition is suitable if you just want to get started using those features asap. The Essentials Plus Edition additionally focuses on keeping Microsoft Exchange® and SharePoint® access rights transparent. The Enterprise Edition provides yet further features, such as flexible workflow updates and integration with external interfaces. This solution is well suited to larger IT environments. Also, depending on the structure of your company, implementing the Enterprise Edition may take longer.

Upgrading to the Enterprise Edition is simple. Your existing investment will not be lost as your current Essentials license will simply be deducted from the bill for the Enterprise license.

Basics

tenfold is a centralized user and access management tool. Its purpose is to help maintain a consistent overview of users and access rights and to simplify the tasks involved in managing them. It does this by using standard profiles which can be tailored to suit individual job profiles, with only a few clicks. HR systems are also integrated so that any connected systems can be easily updated whenever necessary. This, in turn, is essential to guarantee that crucial company data are sufficiently protected from unauthorized access and data theft.

The main problem is that every new employee and every change requires you to update data across multiple systems. Viewing all of one user’s access rights requires sending manual queries to multiple sources and then compiling these into one. The processes involved here are incredibly time-consuming. What’s more, the standard tools provided by manufacturers to carry out said processes are often rigid and incomprehensible. All this adds up to a big waste of precious time. If these processes are automated and made more efficient, the time saved can be spent more effectively elsewhere.

Range of Functions

Yes. Every change is subject to an authorization workflow. This allows you to determine exactly who is able to approve access and to what data.

Having to assign basic permissions to users manually is a tedious and tiresome process – but not with tenfold. tenfold allows you to assign permission profiles that are derived from specific user attributes automatically.

You can import the HR data and tenfold then creates new users automatically based on this data. At the same time, you can create new mailboxes for users and inform all other parties about the new team member via e-mail. If a person resigns or leaves for other reasons, tenfold can be set to lock that user’s account automatically on the leaving date.

Compatibility

tenfold requires two things: (1) A server (which can be physical or virtual, e.g. Windows Server 2012 R2 or later). (2) A database on one of the supported systems (Microsoft SQL Server® or Oracle®). The choice of server, operating system or database does not affect licensing.

Yes. Out of the box, tenfold provides many interfaces for common standard software. Our collection of interfaces is regularly extended and updated. To find out whether your systems are included, please do not hesitate to contact us.

In order to support as many platforms and systems as possible, tenfold provides various integration options. Generally, all architectures can be integrated by means of data imports or through database systems, manufacturer-specific interfaces or web services.
