Licensing and Pricing

Customers can purchase a perpetual software license, with the option of adding on a maintenance contract to receive regular updates and hotfixes. The cost of the license depends on which edition you choose and the number of users that need to be managed by the system (not including system accounts and other functional accounts).

The number of active users managed by the system. This does not include deactivated and deleted accounts, system accounts or functional users. Licensing is not affected by the interfaces used, the server or database configurations or by the operating system.

Wrong! As part of our ‘Academic Licensing Program’, we are able to offer special tenfold licensing conditions to academic institutions (schools, universities) and charitable organizations. Please do not hesitate to contact our sales team for further information.

Currently, there are three editions of tenfold available: The Essentials Edition, which focuses exclusively on managing file shares and Active Directory. This edition is suitable if you want to start using these features as soon as possible. The Essentials Plus Edition additionally focuses on keeping the administration of Microsoft Exchange® and Microsoft SharePoint® permissions transparent. The Enterprise Edition provides extra flexibility features. In this edition, workflows can be updated flexibly and it provides integration with external interfaces. This solution is well suited to larger IT environments. Also, depending on the structure of your company, implementing the Enterprise Edition may take longer.

An upgrade to the Enterprise Edition can be made easily and your existing investment will not be lost. Your current Essentials license will simply be deducted from the bill for the Enterprise license.

tenfold is a centralized user and access management tool. Its purpose is to help maintain a consistent overview of all users and access rights and to simplify the tasks involved in access management. This is achieved through standard profiles that can be tailored to suit individual job profiles, with only a few clicks. HR systems are also integrated so that any connected systems can be easily updated when necessary. This, in turn, is essential to guarantee that crucial company data are sufficiently protected from unauthorized access and data theft.

The main problem is usually that, for every new employee and every change made, data must to be updated across multiple systems. In order to see all the permissions a user has been given, it is first necessary to send manual queries to multiple sources and then compile these into one – a very time-consuming process. What’s more, the standard tools provided by manufacturers for such purposes are often rigid and incomprehensible. All this adds up into a big waste of precious time. If these processes were automated and managed more efficiently, this time that could be spent more effectively elsewhere.

Range of Functions

Yes. Every change is subject to an authorization workflow. This allows you to determine exactly who is able to approve access and to what data.

Having to assign basic permissions to users manually is a tedious and tiresome process – but not with tenfold. With tenfold, you can assign permission profiles that are derived from specific user attributes automatically.

In tenfold, you can import the HR data and create new users automatically. At the same time, you can create a new mailbox for them and inform all of the other parties via e-mail about the new entry. If a staff member decides to leave your company, tenfold can be set to automatically lock their user account on the day they leave.

tenfold requires two things: for one, a suitable server, whereby it supports both physical and virtual servers (Windows Server 2012 R2 or later). Secondly, a database on one of the supported systems (Microsoft SQL Server® or Oracle®). The choice of server, operating system or database does not affect licensing.

Yes. Out of the box, tenfold provides many interfaces for common standard software. Our collection of interfaces is regularly extended and updated. To find out whether your systems are included, please do not hesitate to contact us.

In order to support as many platforms and systems as possible, tenfold provides various integration options. In principle, all architectures can be integrated by means of data imports or through database systems, manufacturer-specific interfaces or web services.
