Licensing and Pricing

It’s simple: You purchase a software license for an unlimited period. You also have the option of adding a maintenance contract in order to receive regular updates and hotfixes. The cost of the license depends on which edition you choose and the number of users the system has to manage (this does not include system accounts and functional accounts).

The number of active, managed users. This does not include deactivated and deleted accounts, system accounts or functional users. Licensing remains unaffected by the interfaces used, the server or database configurations or by the operating system.

As part of our ‘Academic License Program’, we are able to offer special tenfold licensing conditions to academic institutions (schools, universities) and charitable organisations. Please do not hesitate to contact our sales team for further information.

There are currently three editions of tenfold available. The Essentials Edition focuses exclusively on managing file shares and the Active Directory. The Essentials Edition is ideal for you if you just want to get started using these features as quickly as possible. The Essentials Plus Edition focuses on keeping the administration of Microsoft Exchange® and Microsoft SharePoint® permissions transparent. The Enterprise Edition offers increased flexibility. In this edition, workflows are flexibly adaptable and it supports additional external interfaces. This solution is better suited to large IT environments. Also, depending on the structure of your company, implementing the Enterprise Edition may take longer.

You can upgrade to the Enterprise Edition easily, and your existing investment will not be lost. Your existing Essentials license will simply be deducted from the bill for the Enterprise license.

Basics

tenfold is a centralized user and access rights management tool. It is used to maintain a consistent overview of all users and their rights and to simplify all tasks related to access management by providing standard profiles that can be tailored to suit individual job profiles – with only a few clicks. HR systems are also integrated to allow any connected systems to be kept up to date at all times. This in turn helps to protect crucial company data.

The main problem usually is that, for each new employee and every change, data must to be updated across multiple systems. In order to see all the permissions a user has been given, one must first send manual queries to multiple sources and then compile them into one – a very laborious process. What’s more, the standard tools provided by manufacturers for such purposes are often rigid and unclear. All of this wastes time that could be spent more effectively on other tasks.

Range of Functions

Yes. Every change is subject to an authorization workflow. This allows you to determine exactly who is able to approve access and to what data.

Having to assign basic permissions to users manually is a tedious and tiresome process – but not with tenfold. With tenfold, you can assign permission profiles that are derived from specific user attributes automatically.

In tenfold, you can import the HR data and create new users automatically. At the same time, you can create a new mailbox for them and inform all of the other parties via e-mail about the new entry. If a staff member decides to leave your company, tenfold can be set to automatically lock their user account on the day they leave.

Compatibility

tenfold requires two things: for one, a suitable server, whereby it supports both physical and virtual servers (Windows Server® 2008 or later, RedHat® Enterprise Linux or SUSE Linux Enterprise Server®). Secondly, a database on one of the supported systems (Microsoft SQL Server®, Oracle® or MySQL®). The choice of server, operating system or database does not affect licensing.

Yes. Out of the box, tenfold provides many interfaces for common standard software. Our collection of interfaces is regularly extended and updated. To find out whether your systems are included, please do not hesitate to contact us.

In order to support as many platforms and systems as possible, tenfold provides various integration options. In principle, all architectures can be integrated by means of data imports or through database systems, manufacturer-specific interfaces or web services.
